【めだか池周辺で野鳥を観察】高知市内から車で３０分ほどの場所に位置するめだか池（日下川調整池）は、日高村を水害から守る１４ヘクタール（東京ドーム３個分！）の高知県内最大級の湿地帯で、湿地性の植物や水生昆虫など野生生物の宝庫になっています。
冬場には冬鳥の楽園に様変わりするめだか池で、ガイドとともにそーっと観察。意外に感情豊かな鳥たちの姿にほほえみ、わくわくするひと時を過ごしましょう。年に数日しか出会えない渡りの途中の野鳥に遭遇できることもあります。

鉄が真っ赤になるところを見たことはありますか？ 一本一本丁寧に手作業で作っているくわ専門の鍛冶屋で、鉄を熱し、叩き、成形するところを間近で見学できます。職人の無駄のない流れるような手さばきや、形が変わっていく様をぼーっと見ているだけで、心穏やかになれるかも。

A pleasure houseboat allows you to experience the beauty of nature at your leisure on the Niyodo River. The round trip takes 50 minutes from the boarding point to the upstream of the Nagoya Submerged Bridge. Be sure to try the Niyodo River bento lunch box (reservation required).
