Hanatori Odori Flower Picking Dance Ceremony
Designated as an intangible cultural asset by Hidaka Village, this age-old dance ceremony is said to have started in the Edo period as a prayer for a good harvest. It is also known as the “uchiwa odori” (fan dance), with the highlight being the dance where the dancers wave large red fans.

Omura Shrine Festival
This is the annual festival of Omura Jinja Shrine, the second most prestigious shrine in Kochi.
The sacred sword, which is displayed only once a year, is a designated national treasure. In addition to national treasures, visitors can also view important cultural assets.

Former Hidaka Sake Brewery Hinamatsuri Festival
Every year, for about two weeks leading up to March 3rd, Hidaka Village's historic sake brewery is beautifully adorned with rows of Hina dolls.
During the event, visitors can enjoy a variety of fun attractions, including a sake brewery cafe and live music performances!

Hanatori Sword Dance Ceremony
The ceremony's history dates back to 1329, when the lord of Tosa Castle offered it as a prayer for lasting military fortune.
Around 1540, due to the outbreak of a severe epidemic, the villagers also began to dance, with the tradition being passed down ever since.
